When growing up at our Bass Lake farm, the after school activity was lying on the living room floor with the Globe & Mail and drawing figures from 'Mark Trail' comic strip. My love of drawing flourished and I finally studied Watercolour with Donna Cameron at Loyalist College, Belleville in 1976.
Provincial Parks provided 'fodder' for my love of photography, and from 2000 - 2006 I received two First place awards from Arrowhead, and other awards from Awenda, Chutes, and Lake Superior Provincial Parks. This year I placed first in an 'Arts in the Wild' competition at MacGregor Provincial Park with a watercolour, and an Acrostic poem.
Since moving to Barrie in 1980 I attended many workshops given by the Barrie Art Club, and attended Exhibitions at The Art Club, the Quest Gallery in 2006, Huronia Museum in 1990,and the MacLaren when it was at Maple Hill. I'm beginning to paint with Acrylics but Watercolour is my first love.
